Do you know what kind of nuts would be the healthiest? According to Dr M we should eat Walnuts every day. They are supposed to be the best, and if you can get organic nuts, buy them for all means and eat them. A more nutritious food is hard to find. I have to remember to buy them next time I go to the store. Let me know what benefits you have found..
Adding walnuts to your daily diet may decrease cardiovascular risk and may lead to a significant boost in overall diet quality.

We were fortunate this year. A friend has a bunch of walnut trees. They were mainly something to clean up so we went over and gathered up some.

Walnut is so expensive in my country. I would like also to know if it is not rich in uric acid because I know nuts are rich source of it.

@salonga - could it be grown in your place? It grows even in Sweden in places with a rather mild climate..

I'm not keen on walnuts, they leave a funny feeling on my tongue. I like almonds and this year we have been able to pick our own having discovered that the cluster of almond trees on the land is producing decent almonds. We thought the tree was wild and gave it no attention. Then I noticed some nuts and my husband has filled a bag with them. So that is wonderful. I like peanuts but unfortunately only the salted and roasted ones. So they are not good for my blood pressure.

Nuts have some good fats, so I guess they are good for the cell membrane, to make it softer and let in nutrition to our cells.

@buenavida And when the weather is very cold, I put my muesli in the microwave and cook it so it turns into porridge, then add some yogurt and either blueberries or raspberries plus a teaspoon of cinnamon. Delicious and filling.]
