Gone are the days that i buy clothes or shoes or something wearable. Now, it will he something i can keep. Years ago, cash gifts from my family were spent in clothes and shoes. When i saw my closet the other week, there has been a lot of clothes that i just wore for less than 5 times, and i don't think it is okay. Took those clothes out and gave it to someone. And i have no plans of buying any "replacement". What i want for myself are simple stuffs. New book from my favorite author, a journal or planner. It won't cost me that much too.

I have become selfless now as regards gifts. I prefer to give than buy myself gifts. I plan to give my son something when I get my pay this 16th.

Books are good things to have. You can read them over and over, especially if it becomes a favorite.

I like to buy things that I need. I rather buy things that I want. Even though you are supposed to buy yourself a "gift" with the money.

those are real simple things, well i'm not that simple, years ago when i was still single, i bought small gold items for myself as investment, i sold most of them to use for my son's college education, better than buying expensive clothes and gadgets that easily go out of style

It is always a good idea to simplify your life, our possessions drag us down at times. We worry about losing them or getting more etc.

I like buying books but am trying to cut down on that. I don't have the room to store any more books right now. I've been reading more on my tablet and think I will slowly start buying my books digitally now.

I think many of us need to look at our buying habits and cut down a little. I like buying books too.
