Yesterday (Dec. 12, 2015) was National Wreaths Across America Day. Wreaths are laid on veterans graves at all national cemeteries across the country. (You can read more about it in the link provided.) This is my third year volunteering. Has anyone else or does anyone participate? I find it a moving experience.
Does any other country have similar remembrances for their veterans at Christmas/holiday time?

I am guessing that this is only done at national cemeteries. I commend you for your efforts. My father-in-law chose to be buried at a local cemetery although he was a vet. I would like to see more done for the vets while they are still alive to enjoy or appreciate it.

Yes, it all started in 1992 with a man in ME named Morrill Worcester who owned the Worcester Wreath Co. He had a surplus of wreaths that year and donated them to Arlington National Cemetery to honor the veterans. Thanks to the internet which circulated pictures of the wreaths at Arlington, the program started gaining national attention in 2005 and the rest is history. Check out the link in my OP for more info. Fascinating story.
