Are You One Of Those People Who Like To Ruin The Endings?

There has been a few occasions now where people tell me the ending to a book, PlayStation game or movie. Why? Why do people do this? Like years ago I was playing a game called LA Noire, my brother comes out of his room and says "Yeah he dies at the end." I was so mad! Couldn't he just wait until I finished?! Then I was reading a book. Someone I knew was like "oh yeah I read those. He asks her to marry him." I threw the book down. Again, why? Or when I am JUST about to watch a movie, someone will blurt out the ending. If you are one of these people, what the hell is wrong with you? Do you honestly think we will respect you more for knowing something that we will find out in an hour or 2? No! Shut up dude! Or when people watch a movie with you that they have already seen and keep telling you what's going to happen in about one minute. Just shhhhhhh!

I'll never give away an ending or a critical detail in a story unless someone asks me too. But, on the flip side, I will often ask people how a story or movie ends if I am short on time or know it will take me forever to finish reading/watching. If I know there is going to be a surprise twist in the story, I'll tell people not to say anything to me, so I can find out for myself. It's mostly tv shows that I ask how it ends. Movies and books, I usually like to be kept in suspense to the end.

If I have seen it before and my husband insists on watching it again, yes I do keep telling him what is happening next! He has seen it before but he forgets, whereas I remember sometimes exactly who is going to say exactly what. Even worse, although I may not remember the exact ending I do remember how I felt about it the moment it starts. I must be an irritating person to live with...

lol awwww no well...it can be very annoying for others like myself but the main thing here is if your husband is fine with it, then that's all that matters.

@VivaLaDani13 If he had watched it properly first time round he would not subject me to a second viewing.

Your brother may have just being rather mean as only brothers can be. For me I think that I get excited and spill the ending not realizing until it's too late that I am ruining it for someone else. And I think I told the ending of a movie on here once or maybe even twice. Not realizing again. Sorry folks!

haha if it is an accident then I think that is fine. Because some people ruin it for people on purpose.

I only do that with movies that everybody knows the ending to. When someone says not to give the ending of a new movie away, I'll reply, "Hey, Rosebud was a sled!" (Because everybody knows Rosebud was a sled!)

It's so rude and annoying. I was watching a show and got really into it. Then someone told me what happens near the end. I haven't really bothered to finish it. I was like "why bother?" It stinks.

Well exactly right. What is the point? There isn't any. It really bugs me like I don't get it! Can't they just keep their lips shut together until the end THEN comment on the show.

If the person 1. who is watching the movie I already have watched and love 2. reading the book that I already read and love 3. playing the game I played and love Stop doing all those things in the middle especially when the best part is about to come. Then I am one of those people who tries really hard to keep their mouth shut and literally feel like they will jump out of their skin trying to keep patience at that moment. And even though I like telling the story if they ask. I still feel that the movie/book/game has been slighted by that. Because the fun in experiencing that is different than hearing the story from others.....

I ruin it for myself. Hahaha! Im not the type of person who can handle intense situation so i spoil the ending by checking it, forwarding a movie or flipping the book pages. Id rather know the ending so that the emotional impact is not too great. Im not the same though with other people. I tried to keep quiet when someone's watching a movie i've seen or reading and not spoil their excitement. Unless, they ask me. I still dont tell them and prefer to let them finish it. I once went to a cinema with friends to watch jurassic world but they had no idea that ive already seen it. They were shouting the whole time and I was so calm and relax. Hahahahaha

haha well I think that is fine because you are only spoiling for yourself and are kind enough to let others find out for themselves. But that is funny lol

I absolutely hate to know the ending of a book or movie. I won't even read the summary on the back of the book. I flip through a few pages, just to be sure there's not vulgar language, but other than than, let me enjoy the surprises!

@VivaLaDani13 One time a woman in a theater kept talking about what would happen next. That's one reason why we watch movies at home !
