I received a Christmas card (e-card) from a relative from overseas today. As you can see from the picture it is lovely. I was very pleased to receive it. The traditional way of sending cards is great too, but, I find that a card like this one is also special. The whole card has pictures and writing. The words are so personal and thoughtful and that really makes all the difference to the person receiving it. The point that I'm trying to make is that writing for me is a great way of expressing myself, that's why I'm here on mylot. At this time of year choose your cards carefully, read the words and try and ensure that they are meaningful

the point of sending a card is surely not just the picture but the words so I am glad that your relative chose both words and design. It is a pleasure to receive a card that has been chosen well, not just picked randomly in a hurry.

Do you prefer the more traditional way of sending cards?

I used to really enjoy sending out Christmas cards but it can be quite expensive these days given how much stamps cost. Maybe I should check out e-cards.
