Caught Up Finally

It took four days since Christmas to catch up with all my notifications, since I spent the majority of my time working on the pillows.
I have one question regarding notifications - do they drop off? It seems I'm missing a lot of notifications from before December 23. I don't think I had gotten to all those, yet they aren't there. So I'm sorry if any of your comments were in those notifications and I didn't get to them.
I'm caught up now and hopefully I can remain that way. So now it's off to bed with me. It's after 1 AM.
It's been a different kind of day around here with all the snow - 13.2 inches of glorious white. Which left me here at the computer and able to catch up.
I will see you all when I get up. Have a great day/night wherever you are. Thanks for reading.

I think I read that they do drop off. I only check messages. I go directly to my most recent discussions and work through everything there. I may glance at notifications but that just lets me know if any older discussions have any interaction.

I like notifications because it lets me know if discussions I commented on were replied on.

They drop off after seven days, but @DaddyEvil has found a way to keep them for as long as you wish in a separate email list. I think you read his post, and it's worth doing. You'll never miss anything again.

Yes, @jaboUK , she read my discussion and said she would think about setting it up, but I am wondering if she missed my comment about the notifications dropping off after 7 days.
I can't remember and am trying to catch my own notifications off so I don't lose any of them! LOL! Yes, I do have them going to my email folder, but I am working from myLot right now and would have to hunt to figure out where I am in that folder.

@Traceyjayne I'm at that age in my life too where looking is better than being in it, though I still love it.

It's almost 4a. and I should go to bed too. I don't know for sure how far back the notifications go but seems like quite a ways. You could PM Alice ask him. Have a good one and see ya later today.

I believe they do drop off. I wish there was a different system for the notifies but I guess I can't complain too much as I am just glad that the site is back up and running. I am still running behind, but this was from the 28th onward.

Thanks for the info. I also ran into a post about it as well, confirming it. So anyway, I'm going to try to keep caught up now, if my laptop will let me.

@sugartoes You must have a lot of connections to have hundreds of replies in a matter of hours.

Yes responses eventually are gone after they have been there for a while. How long I am not sure.

Normally when I am away I go to my discussion. I got through them one by one and see what is added to them. Then I check on a few that look like they might of had some activity. But for notifications they are bunched together. I saw one that gave me 3 names and said 14 other people answered on it. You might want to check on this to see if this is what happened to you.

I remember seeing the number change and thought the numbers were off in the notifications. I realize now they were dropping off.

You respond to whatever you find interesting. From what I'm seeing on your activities, you're doing very well.

Trying to keep up with notifications is an ongoing thing for me. I never seem to be able to get around to everyone but I try my darnedest. Glad you were able to find the time to do so.

Time is the one thing I don't always have a lot of. However, the storm yesterday provided the best way to get it done. I wasn't going anywhere I didn't need to go. However, I found out this morning I forgot a hair appointment yesterday. I thought it was today and called and found out I was a day late.
