I am sorry I haven't spent much time on this site. December was a busy month, so maybe things will slow down a bit now. Just want to say Happy New Year to all of my friends and hope you have a blessed year. I spent Christmas with my daughter and her family, and my younger son and his family and we had a great time. No snow on Christmas Day but we have made up for it since. I came home on Monday, and was glad I did because we had 16 inches on Tuesday and more last night.

I was thinking of you yesterday, I hope that you have a safe and happy new year. Your picture is really pretty, I like to see the snow, but that amount is really a lot! Everything is green and muddy here because we struggle to get below the freezing mark. My husband gets off of work early and will be home shortly. We have dinner reservations at an old restaurant that we used to go to when we were dating. Then we'll just come home and spend our evening together here and probably be fast asleep long before midnight.

I am not going out tonight either. There is a service at our church, but I don't like being out late at night and it is still snowing some and streets are rather greasy. I got lots of videos, puzzles, and books for Christmas, so will just find something to do by myself.

@AnneEJ I thought of you on Christmas day when we were at our son's place. He likes maps and globes and received a puzzle which is really a map, but the really cool thing was the box. The box was something you could put on a shelf and it was finished to look like an atlas on the sides of the box. He appreciated the gift more when we got to talking about all of the hours that we've spent together as a family putting together puzzles after Christmas. Its such a good tradition. Enjoy your time putting the pieces together, I'll be thinking of you.

16 inches. Oh goodness- I'd hate to imagine! I'm sure we have snow on the way in January, but none as of yet. Happy New Years to you- glad you made it home safely before the snow came.

Thank you. Happy New Year to you. We had rain the last couple of days, so a lot of our snow has disappeared. More coming tomorrow.
