This will be our second trip to the airport in 2 days. We picked up our sister-in-law two days ago, which is a story in itself! She lives in our building and is also here for the season. Now we are on our way to the airport, just 12 minutes away, to pick up my brother and his wife. I am thrilled that they will be here for over two weeks, and not their usual five days a month. They visited us last year and wound up buying a condo in the next building, a two minute walk from us, in one day. They used our contractor and now have a beautiful vacation home to call their own. The best thing is that we exchanged keys, and when we realized last week that we had no mustard in our place, we popped over to my brother's condo to borrow some. That reminds me. I am off to return it.

Your brother bought a condo but he's only staying two weeks? I suppose he's not retired yet.

He can work online from here, since he owns his own business. His wife still works as a psychiatric nurse. She is quite young, but is thinking about going part time.

It is nice to be able to be near family and help each other out with transportation, etc. Not to mention the odd borrowing of mustard.

When he left in December, he gave us his fresh veggies from Whole Foods, including eggs. This should prove to be an inexpensive year for us! Lol!

We do have lots of fun together. He has a friend down here who we will meet, and I will introduce him to some of our friends. The more, the merrier!

I am sure you will enjoy having your brother and wife there to do things with. Make sure you return the mustard before they get there. Have a great day, Dianne

Thank you! The mustard is back in his fridge. I called to tell him what we did, and he didn't care. We made up an extra set of keys for him, his son and us. Even Steven! Lol!

Thank you, but that's his beautiful place! You should see his home in Westport, CT. It's in the historical home society. I want to hire him as my decorator. I love having him around, since we are very close.

Two weeks is a great vacation, I would find 5 days way to short.

@DianneN It does get tough to work around schedules and such. We had a hard time with that this year.

It is so difficult, because his wife is a psychiatric nurse and so busy with her job and shifts. They travel when they can. Afterall, it's their second home, and they do travel on "real" vacations. Lol!

Things get busy in Florida this time of year. Do you consider yourself a "snow bird"?
