Tom Cruise has put his six bedroom mansion in East Grinstead West Sussex, UK up for sale at £4.95m, the property includes a dance studio, swimming pool, billiards room, gym, cinema and 14 acres with orchards and paddock. Also within the grounds is the 1,400 sq ft ‘Pavilion’ for guests with two double bedrooms,....This alone is probably larger than most peoples homes. So if you fancy a 'little' country retreat, this could be the place for you.

...Well it might be a little difficult to get lost in 14 acres, I admit......

@bookbar I had a small 50 acre plot a while ago, but not such a grand house.

@pgiblett A small 50 acres in Surrey would be the equivalent of finding a Spanish Galleon stuffed with gold bars

@LadyDuck Even if I won the lottery I would not buy that mansion.

@Marcyaz It looks good, but too big properties mean big problems.

Think of the loneliness of it all, swimming alone, empty gym, solo billiards, one seat in the cinema! Not for me. I'll go for the same pleasures but do it in the company of others at much less cost.

It looks okay but would not spend that kind of money even if I win a big lottery.

@marlina Well you wouldn't want a house with leftover Scientology vibes within it's walls would you, you never know what spirits they've left behind......OOPS...you're not a Scientologist are you?

@bookbar that could be that he is short of funds if he is selling his mansion.

We have the same thought, Andria. Unless, he wanted to buy a bigger mansion.

@andriaperry Surprised he hasn't just donated it to Scientology...isn't that what most 'cult' followers do....maybe he is short of funds after his divorce settlement to Katie

@fishtiger58 I would think it is a bit to much of a house for a lot of people.

That looks good! I have to win the lottery to buy the flight ticket first. I'd like to just take a look, but I don't think I'd want to stay there. I don't need the dance studio, billiards room, gym and cinema in the house.

I'd rather buy a vacant lot and build a new one. This one is nicely designed though. But why it is so expensive? Is it because Tom Cruise used to own it?

@bookbar You're lucky enough to be in such a beautiful country, Jenny Visiting the UK has always been my dream. I'd love to see the buckingham palace even just in the outside. Hahaha! Anyway, you're fortunate because you're not living near Tom Cruise house. I wonder if he was a good neighbor. I know he seldom visit there because he's mainly in the U.S. but I don't like him too and his Scientology ways. I used to think Scientology is a religion of scientist. Anyway, back to his mansion, why do you think he's selling it? Is he bankrupt?

@olivetree27 Have no idea why he's selling, but as you say, probably nobody there will miss him...as for Buckingham Palace, time your visit right and you can go inside on their 'open days' and really check out how Royalty live...if you ever manage a visit

Too big for me and the chances of winning Lotto is quite slim (though it would be nice since Powerball is going to be close to one billion for Saturday's drawing.

@Elizaby Ridiculous!...could anyone ever need that kind of money, why not break it into smaller increments so more might get to taste the pudding...
