Beauty Lies in the Eyes of Beholder

"Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder" these were the words I uttered to one of my best friends one day & I never thought that these words can change somebody's life, at least to an extent. Today, after a long time I met this friend of mine who is now a confident individual. She was a beautiful woman, at least through my eyes, though she always thought that she is just a average person, as that was what she was told over and over again, sometimes clearly and audibly and sometimes indirectly by the actions of other. Despite being an intelligent person & an able administrator, she always saw herself as an under performer and always had an inferiority complex. Once while having lunch, I just said that "you are equally beautiful, you just need to have faith in yourself. Beauty lies inside, its in the eyes of beholder" And time passed, I moved from that city. And today, when we met, I saw a completely different version of her. She repeated the same words and smiled. I felt really happy seeing her.
