Closed mylot by accident before submitting post

I was so upset at myself, when I closed mylot up before i submitted my comment back to one of my notifications. I don't know if anyone of you have ever done the same thing. It sure can be frustrating when it happens. Fortunately, I knew what to say, but it still was frustrating that I did that in the first place. i must have had my mind somewhre else, I guess. Consider yourself, if you have never done that before, as it does happen to all of us. At least I got it retyped, and posted, and you know, it gave me an idea for a discussion..

Oh I hate when that happens. When I write something long I try to copy it so in case something happens I can paste it later. It is so annoying.

@howard96h Yes, it is, and that is why I have decided to write it in notepad, and save it, so that when I am ready to submit it, I won't have to write it again. I sure do need to stop the annoyance.

I need to put id wond in notepad so it doesn't happen again. It has happened more than once and you would think that I learned from my previous mistakes, but I haven't yet. Live and lean is what they say, and now that it has happened again, I will definitely make sure it doesn't happen again, as it is so frustrating to write it again.

@Rosekitty I am certainly glad of that too, as it was frustrating enough without it ending up being a discussion that got deleted.

I haven't been doing that, and I need to, as I have to retyoe it all. It would save me time, that is for sure. At least the post I am referring too, was just a small comment, so I did happen to remember what I had typed before, so I finally got it done, and submited without any problems.

It happens to me once in awhile and I screamed. My kids got scared and thought something very bad happens.

I really got upset with myself, and I couldn't believe I had done that. I was talking to myself and telling myself that I should have been more careful. I need to listen to myself more often.

I lost a discusion once too, before I got it submitted, and it was worse. I wish I had put it down in notepad as I would have had it then. I didn't, and I had to try to remember what I had said before, and I think I did pretty much and got it submitted, and that discussion is getting comments, so all is goodf.

@LeaPea2417 No, that wouldn't matter at all, but to write it and close the page before it gets submitted, is very frustrating. I will just have to take the time to put it down in notepad, so that if antything happens, I wouldn't have to write it all over again.

It is so frustrating when it does happen, that is for sure. Fortunately , though, it was just a comment that I was doing, as it was short, and I finally did get it done after all that. It would have been worse if it were a disucssion that I was doing. I would have really been upset, that is for sure.

I always did that, as there's something wrong with my keyboard. I don't know which key I press, then it suddenly goes to "close the tab" function. Perhaps I accidentally pressed the "Shift" or "Function" key, then press some other letter key to make that. To me, it happens more to the comment I am going to post, but not so much on the discussion.

I think I have only deleted a discusion once before I submitted it, and that is a good thing. Fortunately, the comment I did was a short one, so I was able to rite it again, and submit it with no problem, thank goodness.

It was so frustrating when it happened that is for sure. I have a tendency to put my fingers where they don't belong, and then I hit a key, and boom, it was gone. I hope I can keep my fingers from wandering and not delete another post.

It has happened to me more than once, and the last time, I had my mind on something else I think, so I just close the browser completely, and then I realized I hadn't submited the post yet. Fortunately, it was a short post, so I pretty much remembered what I had originally typed, so I was able to type it again, and then submit it before I made the mistake of closing up the browser again.

It's not to bad if you only lose a comment, and not the whole post.

That is all it was, but I still hated the fact that I had to redo it. I don't like wasting time, when I could have done it right the first time. Yes, I have lost an entire discussion already doing tht, and it was very frustrating. I had to try to remmeber what I had written, and since I didn't put it down on paper or notepad, I needed a good memory. I am so glad that I did it reposted though and got responses and comment to it, so that was good too.

I need to do that too, so that all I have to do is copy and paste it into my browser. I think I have learned a hard lesson after this. It wouldn't take that much time to make sure that I have it written down somewhere, so it doesn't happen again.

It certainly can, esepcially when I am trying to post a discussion. That is the worst. Fortunately, I had written a comment to a user, and instead of submitting it, I closed it up instead. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper. I did go back in though and get it done and got is submitted.

At least, it was a comment that I was posting, and not a discussion, which would have been much worse, as i write long ones, and I would have had to come up with what I had already said, and try to post the same thing again. Fortunately, since it was a comment, it was a short one, and therefore, it wasn't hard to remember what I had written before I closed up the browser.

These things do happen sometimes. Even though we have done something numerous times and doing it again is just like automatic for us, we tend to make little mistakes and we feel bad and in disbelief on how we can miss that. Anyway, good for you that you have a good memory.

I've not done it here so far but on a newspaper site I've typed out a long comment then pressed the wrong button It is especially annoying if youve made a long comment with some research to it and some links
