Being married to a great lady from the Philippines has many positive things about it. One of my favorite things is the new foods I get to try and eat. I must say people from the Philippines can cook damn good. (all though they do not know how to chop a chicken up =) ) My visit over I got to eat so many new and great foods that her and her family made for me. Carbonara, Pancit, and my favorite her spring rolls taste damn good. There is so many more that my new family has cooked, just don't know the names. On the flip side I have cooked her a lot of foods she has never had. It blows my mind she never had biscuits and gravy until I made it for her. Oh by the way my rice intake has increased greatly! I suppose its Asia's potato =) Good thing I like it =) Any of you married to another race and got to experience foods that you never have tried?

I've never had biscuits and gravy either. Biscuits to me are sweet crunchy things - they wouldn't go at all well with gravy. I'm afraid I'm not adventurous with food at all.

Whenever I hear an American mention biscuits and gravy I always think of a Hobnob or Custard Cream, or even an ordinary Digestive, smothered in thick Bisto gravy! Yummy, yum yum.:)

I've never tried food from the Philippines before. Is it just like Chinese and Thai? It sounds delicious.

some of it is slimier but they have some stuff that is different. A lot of fried and they use a lot of sugar different ways.
