William and Mary

Is anyone here a fan of the British program "William and Mary"? I started watching it on Youtube because I enjoyed seeing the character who plays William, Martin Clunes, in the role of a likeable character rather than the gruff Doc Martin. In this program he's sweet and affectionate, very different from the disagreeable doctor. That he's able to play such different characters is a tribute to his acting. My husband is tired of the show, though, and won't watch it with me after seeing a few episodes. Any thoughts?

I think I saw an episode of this ages ago but I can't remember anything about it. I enjoy watching Clunes in different roles. He is very versatile. I don't have any suggestions about watching it with your husband - or without him. Can you catch up on iView maybe?

I've been watching it on Youtube, so I can see it when my hubby isn't around. What else have you seen Martin Clunes in?

I haven't heard of that show. I do like seeing actors do completely different roles though.

I have never heard of this show before. Is it based on the joint rule of William and Mary back in the 17th century?

@Sheilamarie78 What a pity, I would have been very interested if it had been about the rule of William and Mary.

No, these are the names of the characters. It's set in contemporary England. Mary is from Scotland, though.

I've finished all the episodes now, so I think I'll take a break from watching and read a good book.

I've never seen it. To me William and Mary is a University in some unknown location.

Yes, in Williamsberg, Virginia, named after the English monarchs.

As I read this, I think I will have the chance to watch a new TV series. It took me a couple of times browsing the youtube. It is a good thing you had shared this. Thank you for sharing it.

Let me know whether you enjoy it or, like my husband, you think it causes you too much anxiety to be worth it.
