Ex- Come To –Ex: Is It Awkward?

My former partner had sent a request message. We got separated in years and all of sudden she managed to ask a favor to look for a place for her. I had been getting in touch with her after the separation. In her part, it was not the same gesture. There is no communication at all. The bottom line, she shutdown herself totally and cannot understand why she pops out and ask for a favor. To make it clear, we separated in good terms. I just felt awkward to do her favor. Since I had no idea what would be the agenda behind it. It seems that she is using me to do such thing. I don’t want to feel being used. At this point of time, I didn’t respond to her request. What do you think should I do? Should I grant her request?

Well I feel that you shouldn't because see it's like if she has used you earlier she may be planning to do the similar thing again. It is human nature.I would suggest you if she doesn't confront you like through calls or meeting personally, then don't be bothered about her since if you communicate by meeting or through call as well you are able to make out the intentions of the other person. And don't forget that you had soft feelings for her,not she had.All the best,do whatever makes you comfortable and that won't hurt you again. :)

@shubhu3 Thanks for the advice my dear friend. I am also thinking the same way. I was so hesitant to grant her wish. I am afraid that she cannot have anything from me.

Sounds like she is trying to use you and when she gets what she wants, she'll drop you like a hot potato. I would decline her request for a favor @Shavkat

@gr8nana6 Thank you for your opinion. I do think it is not healthy to grant her wish.

@Shavkat I agree, some people just know you when they need you and then they don't want anything to do with you.

@alchemistrx I agree. The gesture can be deceiving from her.

What kind of request message is she asking you for though? Like a Facebook request or a request to do a favor for her?

She is requesting to look for a house. That's seems so strange of her to ask.

Unless I have been purposely hurt earlier I just help others as it is sort of an honor to be asked to help - siva

Well in my opinion, u should not.. it shows by her behavior that she doesn't care about u.. she just want to get her work done. And may be she approach u bcoz she would not get any other person for this.. Or she know that u will do it for her.. But's upto u.. If u feel it is right to help her, then got for it, if don't then ignore it.. Just listen to urself..:-)

@viewfinder I guess majority of you guys laid opinions about it. I will not do it. I don't to rant about it if she is really using me to get her personal desire.

If you don't feel like doing so then don't. Follow your intuition I should say.
