I hate heavy keys!

I try to keep my keys very minimal, but I have 9 that I absolutely need for my everyday basis. - 3 keys belongs to cars I frequently drive or am driven in - 5 keys are for house keys that I frequently visit/live in (requires a few keys to get into the home, it's only 2 houses) - 1 key belongs to the mail box All the keys are hooked up to my monogrammed heart keychain. Overall, I dislike the weight in the keys! 9 is pretty much a lot of keys for me, but I had a co-worker who had literally keys on keys and his pocket seemed to sag from all the keys! Do you have to lug around a lot of keys too?

I have quite a few keys too. Lately my purse is so heavy I have to empty it out and see what else is the problem. It seems it's more than just those keys.

@paigea I love spacious bags but then I often find myself overstuffing. With the smaller bags, you can't squeeze much so you maintain the bag better.

So you have 5 houses in all where you frequent , since you have 5 keys? Those 9 keys can really be heavy and bulky on the bag . I only have two . One for the house and the other one for my steel cabinet at the office .

No, just 2 houses I visit. But the house requires a few keys to get in (the top lock/bottom lock/gate).

9 keys are a lot to me. As I don't drive, so I don't need the car keys. I think I have around 5 keys too, all for my house, and I don't have a mailbox key. I also prefer to keep the keys as minimal as possible, as they are quite heavy.

@infatuatedbby Yes, as you stated, I think all are necessary that you have to carry with you all the time.

Let me count. My right front pocket is definitely a tad heavy. Total of eight, including car, work, home, and Montana cabin.

You have a lot of keys too! Do they bug you when they're in your pocket or since you're used to the key weight ~ it's normal now.

@infatuatedbby They bother me more when I'm wearing blue jeans than when I'm wearing big ol' baggy teaching pants.

That must be troublesome. I just hold keys that I needed the most. The others are in my key holder.

I don't have a key holder, lol. Is a key holder there like keys in your wallet?

No, I only keep all the time with me the front door key and the garage key. I keep all the others in a key cabinet near the entry door.

We have so many locks. Need to upgrade the locks to have them all be universal so it'd be easier than lugging around so many keys! I'd love to have just 2 keys, very minimal + simple!

I have two sets of keys. One is for my winter home. We had a locksmith change locks so one key opens most things inside our condo, one for the mailbox, and one key that is needed for entrance to our building, the beach gate, clubhouse, etc. since we only have one car down here, we only have one key which is on my husband's key ring. At home, I only need the key for whatever of the three cars I'll be driving. Each one has a key to the house, but I usually go in through the garage door. I find keys an unnecessary weight!
