Are You A Fan Of Selfie?

The British dentists have noticed that an increased number of people are asking to correct their front teeth. This phobia is called dental dysmorphia, a misconception about how people see their own teeth. Which is the reason? The selfie! Many of those who are fan of selfie believe that they have horsey teeth. The reality is different, their teeth are normal, but their phones create a distorted image, this because a selfie is always taken quite closely. Now that you know, buy a selfie stick or, even better, renounce to take selfie.

I've never taken a selfie, and don't intend to. The pictures do seem to come out distorted sometimes.

Yes, this is the problem, the pictures come out distorted, but people are so dumb to think that their teeth have problems.

I heard of some that were walking near some cliffs and walked right over, while trying to get a good selfie. It's hard to believe the people of whatever age wouldn't be paying attention to their steps and where they're going in such situations.

I suppose taking selfie tends to be a new habit of younger generation mostly. The interesting and funny thing about it for the russians is that perhaps the first selfie was taken in a popular Soviet cartoon Nu, pogodi ("Well, just you wait)

I think my teeth look fine, even in selfies. Haha. Maybe that makes me weird? Actually usually when I take selfies I smile with my mouth closed.

If you smile with your mouth closed, you cannot see your teeth.

@LadyDuck I know. :) but even when I do smile with my teeth showing, I think they look fine. My profile pic is a selfie. That's the way I usually smile in them.

Indeed , those selfie pictures seems like the face is elongated or distorted . That's why i don't like taking selfie . I like my picture shot naturally , by someone . It's better .

The whole selfie thing turns me off, I don't see the need for them. Now straight teeth, that is a necessity.

Yes, straight teeth is a necessity if you need to straight them, the problem now seems to be that youngsters think they have distorted teeth, but it is not true, that is what they see taking selfies, because of the distortion of the photo.

A self portrait is so much better than a selfie. There are app to take self portraits, but of course a selfie is so easy done that most people do not care about quality.

I am not interested in taking a photo for myself. I don't have a selfie stick although it is popular here. The youngs like to take photos for themselves. But I must say that it is convenient to use the selfie when you have a travel.

Back at the time when selfies are not yet discovered, I wore braces (that is during my highschool). My teeth are not perfect but much better. And I do sometimes take selfies.
