Blogging Ideas ?

For almost a year, I have been planning to have a blog of my own. And all I did was created an account with Blogger (Google) and then Wordpress and then wrote absolutely nothing I went on reading various Blogging sites about what to, how to and and all kinds of blogging advice, but the end result was nothing. Because, I just couldn't understand that what should I write about (in order to get readers) and what should be the first post. I realised that people generally like to read about health related topics or Finance related topics and I am not an expert in both of these. If anyone is a proud owner of any sort of blog here or has even a little idea about these things. Please help

A year and then nothing? Oh dear. Don't give up hope. I know of famous authors who also get writers block. Not everything flows off the pen (or keyboard). I think you would have to write about your own experiences or thoughts. Of those you are most certainly an expert.

Yes, I think you are right, I can write my thoughts and ideas to start with and then probably take up on other topics. But getting traffic on the blog is somewhat difficult I feel.

@RRoyy2 I just wrote a fairly long response to this and then obviously hit the wrong key and deleted it. Silly me, and I can't remember what it was I wrote. Oh well, it might come back to me in one of my dreams.

@RRoyy2 I too am in the same boat.I also have been doing the same things.My friend advised me to start a blog on a subject I was interested in.What are the topics you are interested in ?

I think I would be interested in topics related to general things, day to day life, food etc but then what the first blog should be about is a big question.
