Should I do Catholic tradition if I'm not really Catholic?

Hi, I was curious about being a Catholic. My dad was Christian and when we were kids, he used to take us to church with him but everything seemed like I don't understand it. My grandma is catholic and what she told me made sense of Catholic religion. I am older now and was choosing going to catholic church because I understood and it made sense when my grandma explained to me. The thing is, I am not baptized, I don't go to church Sundays, or don't know the even more detailed of why Chris sacrificed everything for us, etc. Nor do i read the Bible. My cousins, when they pass by the, "virgen" they umm, "se persignan" (like where they do a cross figured finger and putting it to forehead, to heart, to left then right, and kiss). Since I wanted to become a Catholic, I started doing it too but then later, I myself thought and asked then, "do you think I should be doing that when I don't even know why people do it?" They told me "well, not really." Because I really don't know why. Then I thought, I really don't do anything to learn about catholic. Do you think, since for a while I used to do the not eat meat first Wednesday and Fridays and last Sunday during lent and giving up what's hard for me to do, I should stop doing it? Then I, again like they say it in Spanish, "me persigno" at nights before bed. What are your thoughts? Honestly should not do those stuff, "persignar," sacrifice, etc, if I don't really know the concepts and traditions? Nor if I'm not even reading/studying the bible.
Thanks

So why not get a Bible and start reading it and if you have questions ask someone for help?

I think it is completely up to you. If you want to do it than by all means, do so. However, if you think it is offensive to those who are more religious than you, or an offense to the religion itself, than perhaps not.
It sounds to me though, that you want to learn these things.

Since you want to attend church and are unsure of some of the traditions, it might be a good idea to meet with one of the priests at the church you attend. Your concerns are valid and well-intentioned. I'm sure they will advise you of what is appropriate and the steps you would take if you wanted to pursue the faith. Best wishes to you.

I think it sounds like your are questioning - I think studying it out would be best, find the why's and how's. I wish you well

I think you should learn first what it all means. I'm not a Catholic, but I am a Christian and I do know what Jesus' sacrifice for us means. It's the most important event in history. The reason for the sacrifice is the salvation of your soul so you can go to heaven when you die and have eternal life. There is nothing more important than that.
