I'm still undecided this coming Election

Philippines

Hello Lotters, Don't be confused, my country Philippines would also be having an election but this coming May and people believed have already decided on whom they will vote. But it's rather odd that even at this month I have trouble deciding who should be be our next President, Vice President and other National post. Back in 2010 I never regretted my decision, but I may have been too supportive to my candidate then that i ended up having fiesty argument with fellow mylotters then. Right now, I can only do is decide and vote. Here's why, because of Mom's being active to her organization and have a support of lawmaker because of a friend, she's rooting for the Roxas-Leni the Yellow team. While my Grandma, who used to be a Marcos supporter back in her day and an admirer or Defensor Santiago, would want me to choose Santiago-Marcos. Both of them didn't want me voting both Binay for his corrupt charges, and Duterte for his foul mouth and violent past. Unfortunately, Digong didn't strike me the way Gordon did back in 2010 so not sure about him either. Anyways, Four Candidates for this year, better than the last time because they used to be eight candidates fighting for at least eight million plus votes. Unfortunately as well, I haven't seen any official debates since last january, but my mom and my siblings i think have decided already.

@Letranknight2015 Erap didnt attend a debate and he won,Just imagine if he attended one,he might have lost. That must be the reason. I heard Presidential debates are common Pre-marcos.

@EthanRye Was there any other debate besides this one? No I haven't watch the media or read the news paper for months now. I guess that's why I was still wondering about the schedule. I wonder when the Abias network is going to schedule their own debate by the way thank you for the information.

Hello @CaptAlbertWhisker This is weird but how come it hasn't happened yet, I haven't seen any of these networks sponsor a damn debate. or are these candidates scared or something?

I'm also quite undecided but maybe I would just go with what Pnoy started, and it's AFP modernization, I'm pro afp modernization and I'm afraid that it would be discontinued cause some of the candidates seem not to care if they win, anyway just my personal preference and opinion.

That's why Im undecided because I don't know which candidate will continue with the modernization. Not to mention, all speeches and forums of candidates, there has never been any kind of live tv debate? or did i just missed one? maybe ABS didn't want to sponsor anymore debate because they want their BET to win.

@Letranknight2015 Roxas would most likely continue what Pnoy started but he's personality seems to be weak So you are pro afp modernization too? That makes the 2 of us

@louievill I don't know about that, this is why debate is important so that we can decide for who is the best for us.

Yeah I've watch some of those debates, but because I'm not familiar with the issues that's been around your country and it's state for the last four years, I think i won't comment much on the issue. best of luck for both our countries.

This coming election is my second time to vote for a government election and first time for a national election. There are lots of twists that will going to happen that's why I'm still undecided too.

Hello @trivia79 Well, I try not to watch them as the media networks tends to be bias on their reports when ever events like this comes. that's good, you can decide on the election itself.

It is hard to make decision when the future is at stake and the politicians are saying the same promises . Corruption has long been existing and credibility of all the candidates are in question

THey don't seem to be different, even though some are just trying to @mimiang though Pres Noy made progress over the years but had failtures and other cabinet members in his party were not charged with corruption despite of the allegations.

I can understand that it is really difficult to choose good people to run a country. Our people are expected to vote according to what their political party says and sometimes this isn't what his/her supporters want or agree with.

Its never easy when one doesn't even shows honesty or just wants to continue with their gimmicks just to get more votes.

Hope you can explain why you want Mirriam, but I think she is a strong candidate, she's been running and still can't win some how. @Lucky15 if you read my post some one in the family was also coaching me to vote for her, but she's not even a FIlipino citizen

@Letranknight2015 the reason is..she can be crazily mad. i love her intelligence or maybe smartness. she doesn't do this... making herself good in the public, while everyone is throwing dirt :))

elections are had to predict you end up voting for the person you feel will serve your interest atleast those that affect you directly but by the end if 5 years you notice that things were worse than before choose the best person possible who atleast has a clue of what affects you directly

I couldn't say it was worse than before, there was improvement but other issues made people angry too. @biikiki
