I came across internet almost 20 years ago in 1997 and was immediately awed by it. At that time there were simple modems which connected to a telephone line and the telephone company charged you one pulse every three minutes. That was the revolutionary era of Windows 95, (I still have the 30 diskette set) and google was nowhere in the picture. All search started and ended with yahoo.
What are your memories of the early days of internet

That's great that you have been around computers for so long - you must be a real whizz kid with them now.
I'd never even touched a computer till 2 and a half years ago when I was 73, and didn't find it easy. My daughter was going to live abroad and said that the best way to keep in touch was through the internet, so we went out and got me this laptop.
I don't know a tenth of what it can do, but I'm happy Mylotting, googling and emailing.
