Eating Too Much and Hormones

I've been eating too much for about a week now. I'm chalking it up to hormones & those wonderful monthly cravings. I hope that's all it is because I've been out of control. Thank goodness that I do yoga every day and jog every other day because the pounds are wanting to climb upon my body! Hoping it is just the water weight. I hate diets. And darn it, I just had ice cream at 10:30pm! I rarely eat ice cream anymore, let alone eat it at 10:30pm! Tomorrow is another day!

I have a jar of pickled veggies with a fork :/ Those steroids did it to me.

I started on Super Bowl Sunday & I haven't stopped.... today my monthly friend arrived. So I'm hoping to be under control again soon!!!

Mother Nature works against women, our hormones go down, our weight goes up and it is all part of life. It is a constant fight to keep ahead of it.

yes, it truly isn't fair! now i'll struggle for the next 3 weeks to get off the 5 pounds i gained due to this week &then it will start all over again! argh!

@BelleStarr that's is what is so unfair! seriously! how do i gain 5 pounds in a week, then take a month to lose? it's also unfair because i used to be able to up the exercise and immediately see the weight come off. Right now i am running most days, as well as yoga most days. I should be skinny by now! But nope.

I ate too much last Tuesday, when I had guests for the dinner, but I only ate some fruits for two consecutive days at lunch.

@Marty1 We had no meet last Friday, we never eat meat on Fridays, we are Catholics. Most days I only eat fruits for lunch.

@Marty1 I am also against animal abuse, but I cannot go vegetarian, I have a problem digesting vegetables and I get sick if I only eat veggies.

I understand those monthly cravings all too well. Ice cream is my weakness!! And it seems like it tastes so much better the later it gets.

I fear that I ate too much of the wrong thing for supper, I'm up with an upset tummy right now. I have months like you are going thru too, it seems like there are about 10 days where I want to (and attempt to) eat everything bad for me in sight.

I hear you on the hormones! I have been on a serious weight loss journey for 6 months now, and every time that time of the month rolls around, it literally messes me up for a week after I start! I crave foods that I know I shouldn't eat. Anything high in sugar and carbs is going in my mouth for the week leading up. And then, my body holds all those carbs in with water weight gain. It is the worse for trying to lose weight. I always blame my crazy hormones!

@thash1979 this sounds like me! this week, especially, i gained 5 pounds!!!! ugh! now i'll struggle to get that 5 back off & then it will be another month... sigh.

It probably is monthly cravings and with you doing yoga and jogging, you will burn off all those extra pounds.

I find winter to be extremely hard to do any kind of dieting.....I love comfort food and have indulged in a bowl of ice cream late at night too. There's just something about cold weather and eating that seem to go hand in hand.

Anne has a weakness for a local dairy's ice cream called Java Thunder (vanilla with chocolate and mocha) and can eat it anytime, but restrains herself quite well.

I think when you are doing yoga and jogging, it should be fine. I have been eating too much for the last week as well, as it's Chinese New Year and there were always nice food prepared. I am not going on diet, as I know I'll be back to normal when I come back home.

I also do have times when all i want to do is eat and for this I really have to work out more otherwise I'd end up with extra baggage which I really hate.

I eat a lot too when it is the time of the month.Most of the time junk food and chocolates
