My Puddle of Coffee

I put the coffee on to brew and then took my shower. When I came back to the kitchen I found a nice puddle of coffee on my counter and barely anything in the pot.
The filter collapsed which caused it to clog the brewing and hence it all spilled onto the counter. Not a fun way to start my day but I should have known. Normally I take my shower and then put the coffee on to brew. Today I though I could kill two birds at one time and brew the coffee while I showered. I was so looking forward to having my coffee ready when I was showered & dressed.
Instead I had a puddle to clean up and then had to re-brew another pot and wait for my much anticipated cup of coffee.
Oh well, it could have been worse. It could have been my last bit of coffee that spilled all over and then I would have been crying.
Hope your Saturday started off better than mine.

That's one reason I use a Keurig - that can't happen.

@AbbyGreenhill since you only drink one cup a day then a Kcup would be perfect

@abbygreenhill I have a keurig but use my Mr. Coffee every morning since I drink at least two cups and my mom has some too. All those Kcups are too expensive for me to use to get my morning fix. I use them for my single serving later in the day

That has happened to me more than once or twice. And to add insult to injury I have poured water into the coffee maker and forgot to empty the old coffee out. What a mess.

@marlina it would have been easier to deal with if I had had my first cup of coffee before it happened

That was how my coffee pot greeted me on Wednesday morning. My daughter had set it ready to start before she went home Tuesday night. I hit on and went to sit and Mylot. Ten minutes later.....what a mess.

Well, though it might not be good to do the clean up and have the coffee wasted, I think the aroma of coffee spread all over the kitchen.
I guess it's another lesson to teach us to be focused, and try not to multi-task. I have always been reminding myself on this lately.
I wish to be able to smell the aroma of coffee, as I stop drinking coffee right now due to my pregnancy. It's a good day for me. I woke up early in the morning, and able to start doing some work while the children are still asleep.

My Saturday was uneventful. I stayed at home the whole day with my family which is a bit unusual for me. I normally have a lot of social errands. But the day was great.
