teen car thefts

In a nearby community it seems to be the latest trend in crime amongst teenagers around here. I don't understand how this crime has gone crazy in the area. What is the thrill? Many aren't even old enough to drive. I know as a teenager at one point in my life I was bored and thought it would be so great to do what you want as an adult ect... though the reality is one never gets to do what they want every day for their adulthood and I certainly wouldn't think stealing something is a positive activity in my book.

For some the thrill of stealing anything is foremost in their mind. They will get caught at some point and then have to pay the penalty for their bad decisions.

True I imagine it's much for the thrill of it. But sadly in some areas having a record is something to be proud of instead of ashamed of.

I don't think the idea of being punished ever crosses their minds, just a good time even if it's a crime.

It is a shame some do these things. Their entire life can be ruined by such a stupid choice.

Here in our place also we have seen some teenagers are tending towards crime mainly stealing. And this will be a big problem.

Like anywhere there needs to be more positive things for all ages to participate in for a minimal if next to no fee might be helpful. As Recreation Departments, YMCA ect are not "free" or cheap to participate in positive activities. Most things cost $10 a session or more and that's alot when the majority are living check to check.
