Do You Experiment With Your Own Body Scrubs And Face Creams?

I must say I have a lot of fun creating all sorts of natural scrubs from ingredients in my kitchen.
I also get many ideas from Pinterest and then add my own ideas to their basic recipe.
My latest one is taking my coconut oil and mixing in some coffee creamer granules. I do this just before my shower and rub the mixture onto my face and arms.
The nice thing about this is that it acts as a scrub to begin with. As you rub it in with the water, it goes creamy and your skin is left ..so smooth and soft.
After you rinse it off some of the oil remains on your skin, but only a little.
My daughter has tried this too and loves it too! Try it and see for yourself.
Are you adventurous in this regard?

I've never been into taking care of my skin but I do use coconut oil on my body, I might try adding the creamer and see if I like it. Thanks, sounds good

@dianadee In my own opinion, we need to consult dermatologist before applying something. Since our face's epidermis is so sensitive and we can't afford to have some facial spots. I think you can try some moisturizer than having coconut oil.

I don't put a lot of oil on my face and have never considered using coffee creamer. But one of my favorite scrubs is white sugar and oil (of choice) for my feet. If you try that one don't stand up in the shower/tub.

@Namelesss I saw the coffee creamer idea on Pinterest and because I love coconut oil so much..thought I would combine the two. Anyway maybe it is not for everyone but I find it beneficial. Anything with perfume in it, gives me an allergy. The purer the better.

@dianadee It sure does. I hate having rough feet. The sugar is abraaive enough without scraping your skin. Salt is good too but the crystals are rougher so it does tend to scrape. What gave you the idea to use powdered coffee creamer? I wonder if it is about the 'milk'.

I use very simple products on my skin. I put olive oil on my face every night; coconut oil on my face every morning. In between, I use a couple of commercial moisturizers. However, I never use soap, foundation, powder or similar products on my skin.

Natural is the best way to go. Fragrance free too..allergic to anything with a hint of perfume in it.

ooooh I love DIYs... scrubs, masks, cleansers!! If you mix in some gram flour with some turmeric and water/ milk/ curd, you not only have an amazing cleanser, but you can leave it on for some time as a mask too! It will remove oil, exfoliate and brighten your skin. For those with dry or sensitive skin mixing some oat flour with milk or water is both soothing as well as brightening (if you use milk, or milk flour)! You could also use coconut flour to give your cleanser a creamy touch. Can you tell I am over excited about this?
