Two of my friends were in a relationship for 2 months before they had to go long distance. Within a year the girl broke up with the guy. He had become "too busy" and had no time left for her. He forgot her birthday, was too busy to talk on their anniversary, and never picked up her calls. This wasn't unnatural for him; the only reason their relationship worked before was because they were "too busy" together, doing the same thing.
As I was talking to my friend she said "Long distance only works when there is a set date when it won't be long distance anymore".
It's funny because all the girls felt like she had grounds to break up, all the guys thought that she was being unreasonable, because this is how he had been from the start. He always cared, but he was always too busy!! Were the guys right? Was the only problem the distance?

I would be inclined to agree with you, but what if the both of you were involved in the exact same things? Wouldn't it kind of work out?
I know it is not ideal.. but if you spent a lot of your time together working on common things, maybe it wouldn't matter if he was not as attentive the few times that you would be apart..

yaa, I guess it varies from person to person.... Personally, I have yet to see a successful long distance relationship... I have, on the other hand, seen soo many fail that it kind of makes me feel like they just cannot be done :(

If they were only together for 2 months before they moved apart, they didn't really have a lot to base their relationship on.

they were like the best-est of friends for about two years... It was only at the end that they realized that they both wanted more...
