Having a baby :)

Hi everyone.. :)
This is my first post, so I decided to write about the most important day in my life so far :)
I got my baby girl 3 months ago. Before having a baby I thought it is such an easy job. Especially breast feeding. You just put your boob inside the baby's mouth and it starts sucking milk. Yeah.. right. I had so much difficulties and breast feeding process was really painful in the beginning. I told my mum : Gosh, this really hurts.. and you knwo what she said.... '' I had the same thing''. LOL. I mean, you could at least warn me to get ready for it.
But seeing my baby smile to is priceless. Nothing compares to that. No matter how angry I am or stressed about something, when she smiles, I forget about everything. It is so fascinating that a humang being without any teeth in her mouth can be so cute. :D :D
How old are your kids? Do you have any advice how to ease the pain when our first teeth start coming?

I am single and don't have kids. But I have experience taking care of some of my niece and nephew, i could really say that it's one heck of a job. not to mention the diapers and baby food or milk that you had to buy which are more expensive now.
But you'll be fine, you have your mother by your side. she will give you extra help. Congratulations.

Wow, I am happy for you for your first baby. Actually I am still single but have many experiences about the babies. A baby smile is a magic that could turn anger and sadness into an unexplainable happiness. That smile of an innocent one seems the most valueble thing we see because it is our really own flesh who became human like us. Have a happy journey in your life with your baby and your family.

Congratulations! I just had my little girl 2 months ago on Christmas Day! I am completely with you on the smiling thing it makes my heart melt every time my little girl smiles at me. As for the advice when the teeth come in I don't have much because my little girl wouldn't latch at all. Although you can buy these things called nipple shields that may help with it. But I have heard if they are latched right they wont bite you or anything.

@mademoiselle_Ayla I heard the nipple shields were actually for lazy nursers, to make it easier on them. I was going to try them but it was to late I had already gone way down in supply that I would not have been able to feed my little girl enough.

Congratulations on your baby girl :D And I have used these nipple shields but my doctor advised not to do so, because it is hard for the baby to suck the milk. So... :) But as we said, when they smile, you forget about everything :D

Well, to start off with... Congratulations.
Our baby girl is now two and a half months old. And trust me, things are not as easy for me or my wife. She is our first child and at 42, it becomes all more difficult to care for her the right way.
We have been told that teeth normally will start coming about after 8 months. And things would be difficult that time. (I wonder how more difficult it will get for us). We have some stuff called nipples (maybe something else in normal English, sorry, I have no clue, but they look like the ones on the image attached). These are filled with honey. Doctor said when the teeth start coming out, the baby will almost always have the urge to chew and as such, these are the best thing around. Only thing is to sterilize them before use.
And definitely, I must agree with you when you say - But seeing my baby smile to is priceless. Nothing compares to that.

@mademoiselle_Ayla Wow, that would be real quick. We dont know yet. but as you mention it, I think, 4 months might be the right time. The doctor said that she will be able to start eating boiled and mashed veggies with their soup sometime from 6 months. So quite likely you are right.
I agree, every baby has its own individuality and preferences. I am unsure if ours will also like them or not. But I have seen many babies sucking onto these in the neighborhood.

I know these as well. but my baby doesn't want them :D I tried to give it to her for couple of days, but she kept on refusing them. So I gave up :) And our doctor told us that we can expect first teeth when baby is 4 months old.. :D

Congratulations on having a beautiful daughter. You will find that you meet each new challenge as it comes - being a mother is the best thing in the world. My children are in their 40s now, and I still love them as much as the day they were born.
Welcome to the site.

Congratulations on your new, precious baby. They are beautiful without teeth! :) I had one child ... and I'm an older mother, now ... so, I can't offer any advice excepting to love them dearly ... teach them everything so, they'll grow up knowing what this big, old world has to offer. I bet you will be a lovely, good mother.
