Some people do good deeds to other people, but they ask a return favor. It is so disappointing that they do such good deeds with personal agenda. They need something from the people who received their good deeds. Nowadays, good deeds connote with different meanings. The simplest meaning changed through the years, it became more complex in knowing the real essence of good deeds. What is really happening to this world? There is no real meaning of good deeds. It turned out to be different of its worth. Some people are starting to change its behavior and taking the chances to only receive good deeds.

Not everyone helps to gain something, but I do know some people do. My husband and I help others all the time and we don't want anything in return we just love helping and making a difference in this world.

@LovingMyBaies It is a nice feeling to help others with no return. I had a great influence with such good deeds in a country that cannot afford to pay medical services. However, I had rendered my full service without any pay from them.

@Letranknight2015 That's a good deed. Small things can be a bigger impact to others.

Hmm..I don't know why people always need something in return. I like to help people secretly in the background because I'm not very direct. Besides, direct sometimes will lead people to lie, not because they're a bad person, but because they want to spare your feelings. The back supports the front, anyway. ^_^

@joylol I had once volunteered to a certain country for one year. My volunteer work is done in silence. It should not be highlighted just because I am giving my free service to the local people. The only consolation thing I had is when they still continue my legacy in helping them.

@vignevikki I can still remember the old days. People helped because they wanted to. But now, you need to pay them before giving their extra hands.

The meaning of good deeds never changes. Anybody and everybody knows when someone has done something good for them, although they may not know who did it because the doer may choose to remain anonymous. Good deeds are good deeds and can be done by anyone who has the power. "Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help." Some people want something in return. Some don't. As soon as a person can distinguish between being selfish versus unselfish, they choose their motives and act accordingly.
