Some people believed that people who can play any musical instruments are considered genius. Others will disagree with this statement and big question why? If you are referring to academic excellent, the intelligence is not acquired then you are gifted. It is also commonly say, they are genius. On the other hand, people who play musical instruments are also genius in nature. The reason, if they play a piece of song; people will shed into tears. Definitely, they are the great genius in musical world. They have the power to move the people into a new world and wanting to listen more.

I don't think you could call every musician a genius as it would devalue the term greatly. Suddenly pretty much everyone would be, or could become, a genius. In my opinion a genius is someone who is a master of their respected field. If we look up the definition of a genius in the dictionary, we will generally see two definitions. 1. an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, music, etc. 2. a person having an extraordinarily high intelligence rating on a psychological test, as an IQ above 140. Your post is centered around the first definition, and you would be correct if it weren't for the keyword 'exceptional'. Being exceptional means that you are an exception, well above average, and extraordinary. If every musician was a genius, they would no longer be exceptional, and therefore they could not be a genius as per the definition. Being talented is one thing, but being a genius is a completely different ballgame.

That's a great detail you've shared. I guess my notion about musician identified in your definition mentioned above. Despite of this, I didn't generalized that the people who can play musical instruments surpassed the other definition. But then, I had specified that they are genius in the music field. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about it. It is highly appreciated effort.

@Shavkat I highly appreciate the field of music. I listen to music every day and have great respect for the musicians and the work they put into their music. However, in gereral i don't think it's the people who only knows how to play an instrument that is the geniuses of the field. I think it's the people who can write their own music and songs. Songs that truly matters, inspires, and has an impact on the world. These are the people who are geniuses. Bands like 'The Beatles' or people like Mozart, they have the right to be called geniuses.

Music certainly has the power to move us. Almost everyone can learn to play an instrument though so I don't think you need to be a genius.

there are different geniuses in every field and not just in music. I think when they do something innovative and makes work easier or more productive, that i think is a genius person. unfortunately, the music most people listen to isn't so calming these days.

@Letranknight2015 It is very nice thing to have music while having yoga. However, I haven't tried it yet. If in times that feeling blue comes, I just listen to music in boosting the myself up.

Being able to play a musical instrument is a wonderful thing. But for most people, besides having a talent for it, they have to spend long hours of practice to be their best.

@AnneEJ It takes a lot of time to polished their skills. It combines hard work and patience to be good in playing musical instruments. In some point, it is my frustrations in life. I haven't had the chance to learn some musical instruments.
