I have a Sony DVD+/-RW, 16x max, supports dual-layer. 16x on a DVD is about 11 MB per second write speed. Always make sure your burner supports +R, just just -R, as the +R is a more powerful format with extended features, and the blank discs cost the same (usually) as -R.
