That Calm Place Between

What is that calm place between?
Is that calm place between good and bad, happy and sad, up and down?
And what do we call it then, other than between?
Is that calm place a happy place?
A refuge from the storm?
A warm and safe place?
Or is that calm place a dangerous place to be?
Only for the emotionless and empty?
No dancing in the rain; no crying in the rain.
Or is that calm place simply that calm place between?

Great advice, @jaboUK Jabo, thank you. I do have a problem with analyzing everything! :)

We can hope that it is simply "that calm place between," that will give us what we need to rejoin the fray.

As they say - after the storm comes the calm, after the calm comes the sunshine. Better you wait for that sunshine.

@teresaschultz I suppose neither great happiness or sorrow can be calm so yes, somewhere in between it has to be.
