Picture of the flowers in front of my house

Flowers always remind me of spring, and with the mild weather we have been having, it has felt like spring since January. I know that for most of the US, snow has been plaguing you for months now. Maybe seeing the picture I took, will remind you that spring is right around the corner. I love flowers, but I never planted these as they were already here when I bought the house. Spring is right around the corner, so those of you with snow on the ground, will have nice weather soon.

@kevin1877uk I love to look at them every year when they are blooming. The thing of it is, they won't last much longer, as they will die back early.

They were pretty while they lasted, and now that they are done, I will have to wait until next year for them to bloom again. I have rose bushes in my back yard along the fence, and they are blooming beautifully. I will have to take a picture of them, since they are so pretty.

@rosekiss Normally for us we are still getting hit. It's snowing here tonight so I wonder if school will happen tomorrow. It doesn't really affect me on Fridays since my oldest doesn't have school but I still have to get up early for babysitting. But if the snow is bad maybe the dad will have off of work and I won't have to babysit. I could us the day off before the weekend starts.

Beautiful flowers. My late parents had hundred of daffodils that bloomed along the stone wall in their back yard. I think of them often at this time of year.

@LindaCPearson We are a litle ooler today than we have been, so I have had to put my heat on. On Wednesday or Thursday,, we are going to be in the 70's and 80's, which is really warm for this time of year. I don't have AC as ihe compressor needs fixing, and I don't have $2000 to get it fixed. I will probably buy a portable AC unit, as that will be much cheaper than paying $2000 for a compressor. This weather is really getting crazy for sure. Warm one day, and then cooler the next. I was hoping to not have to put my heat beck on, but I will be leaving it off soon enogh

I love lilacs too, as they are so fragrant. When I lived in Indiana, we had liacs, but I don't have them here. I like hydrangeas too, but I don't have any of those either. I do have roses that bloom every year, and that is my favorite flower.

Don't make promises you can't keep, JK. Actually, we've had decent weather overall too. Only three snow storms that were huge once per week but I think three weeks in a row. Now, we're having another snow storm, but it remains to be seen how much we actually get. It could be 1-3 inches up to 7-13. And, this may not be the last one either as it usually snows once in April. But, in between it's decent and springy. Once this melts, which may happen as early as the weekend, I can take some pictures of my flowers that are trying to grow above the ground. None have flowers yet. In your first line, I'm guessing you were trying to say something about the mild winter we'd been having? Your fingers got on the wrong keys and interesting word you came up with there. I can't believe no one else said anything about it. Btw, I came across this post from the suggestions on the right of our pages.

That is cool that it was on the side, as i do some of those too, but i never knew mine would get there. By the way, I did go back and edit the discussion and made the correction, that you noticesd. I am surprised no one else noticed it, and I am surprised, I did't even notice it. Well, at least it is better now. I hope that you don't get the snow you are supposed to get, as this is spring, and it doesn't seem right to get bad weather in spring.

The daffodils have been blooming for awhile, but now they are in full bloom and really pretty. I woul like to put roses in the fron of the house, but not sure if I will, as they get way to tall, and i don't like the thornes.

Hving flowers blooming makes it prettier than when there isn't anything at all. The ones that owned the house before, too, really good care of the yard, and I am trying to do the same. It is a small yard, so it doesnt take long to mow it anyway.

They're lovely! May I ask what kind of flowers they are? I want a colourful garden in my home some day as well, with a small portion of it for vegetables. I was thinking of hydrangeas for flowers because of their beautiful and various colours, and a big tree or two.

They are daffodils. They only bloom this time of year, and once they are through blooming, they lie dorrmant until next year, when they start the blooming process all over again. I didn't plant them sa the previous owners planted them.
