I rather spend $8000 than $10

I have a different spending habit than many people because I am an investor. I rather spend $8000 to buy shares of a great company in the stock market than to spend $10 on a hand cream. I truly do not understand the need for so many kinds of creams selling in the shops. When you just need a simple cream to keep your body moisturize, the shop assistants ask so many questions. I do not know how to answer questions as to the types of skin I have. In the end, I just describe the environment that I will use the moisturizer, and just choose the best value for money. It is so easy to buy shares in the stock market than to buy a simple cream.

I think self-care items cannot be compared in investing something. For some people, it is a part of rewarding themselves for working so hard. Hard money is really difficult to squander. But then, we also deserve to have something for ourselves.

It seems to take more knowledge to buy hand cream than to invest in the stock market. At least there is a return in the stock market. The hand cream is a necessary expense, but I wish that a single task like hand cream is made easier.

I think buying share is a good way to reward ourselves as well. That's what I did when I have saved some money while I was working. I guess all of us just have different interests in different areas.

hehehehe, just buy your usual cream. Sometimes it sounds irritating if saleslady keeps on interviewing. One time, I left the place.

I do not have usual hand cream. I do not normally use hand cream. I buy only when I work in extremely cold and dry office or I have to travel to a cold and dry place.

I understand you. I guess all of us will buy what we think is worth to invest or spend. Some people might think it's a good investment for buying beauty products or taking care of their beauty.

Another point to make is that beauty products are getting too complicated. It seems that they are promoting a special product for a special environment or occasion or something. The worst is face cream or cleanser. I just do not know what the difference is among so many products.

@scheng1 I guess it's because our interests are not there. I don't even know so much about those beauty products. I just don't really care about them so much, though some of my friends tried to recommend those beauty products to me, as my skin is not good.

What you wish to do is invest and that is not called spending. You need to spend too and that will happen when you book your profits. Those profits are for spending.

Yes, that is the plan. It is like planting a tree and eats the fruits. There is a time for the planting, and a time to enjoy the fruits.

why the hell would some one wants a hand cream? I just know little about investing in stocks. I am still so broke right now to even consider having that risk. I don't have a mentor to teach me were to put my money's worth so even today I'm not comfortable doing it.

Comparing investment with the healthcare is a bit unrealistic. Investing is your choice and investment gives you something in return. But about the skincare, you must choose accordingly to your skin and environment. You cannot ignore the condition of your skin and go for the economic one.

I want to be careful no matter how much I will spend. And of course I will be much more careful when I want to invest something since the amout is big and money will not come easy. Besides, there is also a risk.

It is better to invest with big money than small money. When a person invests with a large sum of money, he is very careful since he cannot afford to make mistake. For those who invest a bit here and there, he does not do his homework well, and just rely on luck.

You have reminded me of a time when I was travelling interstate. I went to a pharmacy and told them I just want some moisturizer not too much as I'm travelling. The assistant was so sweet, he gave me many samples of everything he thought I might need. Consequently, I left the store with a much heavier bag than I had previously, hehe

haha, that must be the time when nobody else is in the shop. I bet the assistant told you all about the different types of moisturizer and the best time and place for each of different ones.

I would rather spend money eating out, going to the theatre, seeing movies, etc., than put it in stocks!!

No, I invest in utility companies. i do not invest in anything that I do not understand, and beauty products are definitely out of my knowledge spectrum.
