School holiday here in my country will begin on April. It was also the time wherein parents of young children would enroll their children to short tutorial sessions on Basic reading. I plan to accept children who wants to learn how to read for the first time. Is there any method, preferrably easier methods to teach reading and phonics to children ages 3-5 wherein they won't get bored and at the same time they will learn fast?

oh believe me ive been teaching my 3yr old nephew just about everything i could but he does what he wants. he seems to have his own world, he simply ignores me. he starts laughing at times too whenever i sing some kiddies songs. he loves to play, he loves animals, and he loves water so i let him be most of the time. susprisingly when he's in a good mood, hes able to utter words (mostly mispronounce)

Yes, the main problem with the young ones is that their attention span is very limited.

My suggestion is to have reading materials with pictures. Children have a low attention span. Well, I think you can have other option in teaching through online tutorial.

What I have experienced with having pictures is that they focus more on talking about what's in the picture rather than the reading lesson.

@LdeL0318 You can try to watch some nursery rhymes and recap the lesson.

Thank you! I am a teacher by profession but I am not teaching in school. I only do tutorials as part time.
