Online Shopping Cheaper Than In Store Shopping?

I find that most things are cheaper online than instore and that goes for pretty much everything! The only downside to online shopping for me is that sometimes you want something small because it is cheaper online but find out you have to pay excessive postage costs, making it not so worth it in the end. I do find that buying a large quantity of items from Amazon or even my online supermarket stores does mean I end up saving a good amount compared to shopping in store. I like researching and comparing prices online before I purchase something and find that this does help me save quite a bit. Do you buy quite a lot online too and find it is cheaper than buying in store?

I prefer to buy online, usually Ebay and Amazon, I love when they have specials and 50 percent off on good quality products

I love shopping online and having them delivered to my house. I will research however, I even take into account the gas I will use to go to the brick and mortar stores.

@gudheart One is the shipping cost. Somethings I would like to check the items personally before I buy it.

If shipping costs exceed the item, I might not buy it online. We do a ton of online shopping due to where we live.

Books, electronics and all other things non-consumable and clothing I buy online. I'm not much of a shopper, so shopping online or in-person is not a frequent event for me.

I am the same actually. I only spend money when I really need something, otherwise I save.

I often buy different kinds of things online and I enjoy it. Of course most of the time the price is cheaper. Even if I only buy a piece with the delivery fee, the price is still cheaper than buying it from a real store.

I always research and compare prices on different websites before buying anything. I do alot of my shopping online though as it's easier for me because of my work hours.

I buy a lot of things online because they are cheaper, especially from Amazon. But mostly groceries are cheaper in the actual store than online. I was shocked at how expensive groceries are even on Amazon.

I do agree that it is cheaper to buy online. That's the downside in buying in typical shops. It is becoming more convenient for the people.

I agree, it is so much easier to buy online that to go out in the cold or rain to buy in store.

I don't think I could be bothered buying groceries online and we buy very little else although Vince does need a new watch which he will buy online.

It depends on the item. Yeah, books, DVDs and CDs are cheaper but most products cost the same as the store and there's the postage and handling kicker. I routinely see items that cost a few bucks less than at the store but costs more because of shipping and handling. Online shopping can be good to get those hard to get items but I don't understand buying clothes you can't feel or try on.
