Do you like to watch baby animals playing? All babies play. As they do, they not only exercise muscles and joints, they learn skills that will stand them in good stead later.
We stopped to watch these lambs playing some years ago. I'm not sure what they were learning really but perhaps they were just plain old enjoying themselves. Even one mother walked up on the fallen trunk then carefully walked off again. Maybe her child called for her to 'come and watch me, Mum'.
Anyway we were entertained for quite some minutes. One little fellow fell off and his mate looked down as if quite concerned he shook himself off and hurried back on to the trunk again. I think little goats are delightful to watch as they play. Do you have a photo of puppies or kittens playing?

They have to go poking their noses in don't they? As if they're looking for some mischief to get into.

Maybe you could do a post about him and include a photo - and welcome to MyLot. I remember you from Bubblews.

@JudyEv No need to say it is a good photo. It seems they like to watch the surrounding place from their high perch.

@crazyhorseladycx I watched a great series of photos this morning. A little dog walks next door, backs at the gate and a black and white cat comes out from the garden, They greet each other then go for a walk together. I was nearly in tears, it was just so lovely.

I found the photo I was looking for. I stopped in the country and got out of the car to get a good photo when this dog came running and growling...a protector of the sheep from crazy women and dangerous threats.. He scared me.

@PainsOnSlate There are several breeds whose instinct is to protect the herd they're put in with. Maremmas are one of the breeds and look like the one in your photo. He is on full alert isn't he? I would have been back in the car quick smart.

No, I once had kittens (well, my cat actually had them), and I took pictures. My dog found the roll of film and ripped it to shreds. She hated the kittens.

@JudyEv Ha Ha. No. I realized, however, that the dog was far too smart. How did she know that the film contained their pictures?

@ElizabethWallace It's interesting isn't it? Maybe she watched you pointing a thingamajig at her rivals then taking something out of the thingamajig and thought she'd destroy it. It would be nice to know what was going on in her tiny mind.

At one point, one of their mums decided to play too and she walked along the wood.
