My best friend is my mother

My mother came to visit me last week and she is leaving today. I already miss her amazing home cooked meals and her tinkling laughter. We spent hours chatting about random things and laughing so hard. She has an iron clad positive attitude and a crazy sense of humor and it is really hard to stay serious or sad when she is near. She has this ability to make even a stranger or a neighbor feel comfortable at our home. She came to my store the other day and was very proud of what I was doing with it. She has an amazing rapport with my husband and son.
I watched the french movie Intouchables (with English Subtitles) with her. I loved that movie and I knew my mother would appreciate it.
Last Saturday, I made a special lunch for her - hot n sour veg soup, mushroom biryani, pepper chicken fry, mushroom masala and pineapple custard. She said she felt like she was the daughter and I was her mother when I pampered her so. That for me is the greatest compliment! She always tells me - You can always make money. But you can't always make memories. So make the best of your atmosphere.
No matter how much time, I spend with my mother together, it never seems enough. I will see her again next month when I visit my native but seeing her leaving is hard.

Thats true. And most of the time, we end up taking our mothers for granted.

It is great to know that you have a wonderful mother.
It seems she is a great human being having lots of positive energy. You are lucky to have a great relationship with your mother. A mother is always a wonderful person no doubt with that. God blesses to you all.
