We can make payments even our PayPal account has zero balance as long as the bank account linked to it has enough money. It will be debited and converted automatically to another currency. I had no problem so far. So, it is safe.

PayPal is a safe method of payment. It was set up to make transactions between two people more secure and so that actual credit card or bank information need not be shared with unknown parties. If you do not have credit in your PayPal account, you authorise PayPal to withdraw money from your bank or credit card to make the payment. Unfortunately, in India, the system may not work in this way because PayPal have had to make an agreement with the RBI that any PayPal balance over about $10 MUST be transferred to the person's bank account and payments to be made outside India have to be accompanied by a code specifying the purpose of the payment.

Paypal is a secured method of doing monetary transactions. If you do not have money in paypal account, you just cannot make payment through it. You need to transfer money to your paypal account either through your Debit or Credit Card.

I am not sure about that. I didn't put my credit card information in PayPal. I think it is safe to use for your personal transaction.

Paypal is just a medium to transfer money to and from our bank account. Because it is linked with our account, we need not share our account everywhere. It is safe and trusted mode of transactions.
