@LucciaCruz12,I think,it's my duty.When a user starts a discussion,it means he shares it with us and expects us to express our thoughts on the topic.If we respond to the discussion,it means we honour the user's labour.

yes. It is respecting the effort or effort of the other person. I do agree with you. Many people on Mylot possess this quality. There is no doubt about it.

It should not be must because there are chances certain topics may not connect with certain people.
What interests me may not interest you sometimes.However, I do feel that certain posts are made with lot of labour and research and when they go unnoticed over certain other simpler topics, it makes me feel disappointed.

Replying to a comment is a nice idea but compulsion to reply on a discussion is difficult..It is difficult to reply if you dont feel related with the topic in the discussion..

I like when people do but i feel it would be unrealistic to expect every response gets a comment. It would take a lot of time. I try to get most but I know I dont get all of them. Plus, some responses are ridiuclius - like "I dont know" or I have even gotten one that said "no" and that was it. Its like....come on!!
