Since I lost my beloved Dave on January 30th, my whole life has been turned inside out. A day does not go by that tears are not triggered. Dave and I were one. We were each other's lives. People say to keep busy. So I've put myself into setting up our garden beds at our new home.
How do you deal with grief?

This must be so hard. I lost my mother 18 months ago but she was 104 so it is nothing like what you must be going through. Don't forget Dave wouldn't want you to be unhappy for too long. He'd want you to try to find something to be a bit happy about. Perhaps the garden beds will help. I hope so.

When I feel grief I cry too. I think it is nature's way of relieving the pain and even the anger that comes when something happens against our will or happiness. There is pleasure in gardening, it will occupy your hands but you need to find something to occupy your mind too. A new interest, perhaps.

First let me offer condolences, I can't even imagine how hard this has been for you. I retreat into myself when I am grieving but this level of grief I haven't encountered yet. I have never gotten over having a stillborn baby losing my partner of 50 years is more than I can even think about. I am sure i would get comfort from my children and grands and friends.

So sorry that you lost him. I can't imagine how hard it is, though I know that many here have lost loved ones.

It is really hard to forget about someone so dear to you. I hope you can get over it over time. Yes, I saw your posts on FB about Dave.
