This Chinese dish is Fried Ngoh Hiang. "Ngoh Hiang" (Chinese dialect) refers to Fried Five Spiced Meat Rolls. Traditionally, this dish consists of four basic items - meat rolls, pork liver roll, pink sausage and egg slices. The freshly fried items are served with a side of stir fried rice vermicelli, sweet and sour chili sauce.
People call this dish of fried five spiced fritters Ngoh Hiang because the meat rolls used to form the main star of the dish. Today, the selection of food items have extended to other yummy treats including - crispy fried tofu, seasoned squid, battered fried fish and squid fish cakes (like the ones I have in my picture).
Do you like the idea of this dish?
Photo: This dish may be quite greasy because of the deep frying but it's so good

My favorites are the pink pork sausage, meat rolls and eggs slice. The egg slice is special because they steam the egg with pork lard and diced water chestnuts into a rectangular cake before cutting them into slices and frying them till crisp).

Haha...I wouldn't be too surprised since some of the food items are acquired tastes and yes that greasy problem.

The ones near the chili packet on the top right hand corner are the battered fried fish. I'm sorry that it's hard to tell because of the overwhelming "brownness" of the food items. The store sells chicken cutlets as well and they're yummy. The cucumbers they give are always not enough, I want more!

Yes, I like it. They remind me of street food here in my country.

Cool, Singapore has tons of street food. One day, I'd tour south east asian countries and try all the food!
