Unplanned Trip To Baguio City Last Saturday

Last Saturday, I had no plans of going to Baguio but because of the unannounced power interruption at 6 in the morning, I had to go there.
I went there not to enjoy or relax but to work. I think I have mentioned before that I am working online and I can bring with me my work, wherever there is electricity and internet connection.
But why did I choose Baguio even if it is a bit far from my place? Well, it's the same as other people's reason in going there. It's the cold weather. I don't think I can stay long in a hot internet cafe during a hot season like this. And other reasons were, I didn't know if it's the entire province that had blackout and how long it will be.
I was expecting work to be loaded that morning and yes, it was loaded at around 7 a.m.. I had just boarded the bus at that time. It's good I was able to catch up and the internet cafe where I rented a PC is near the bus terminal because it is located in Session Road.
I thought of staying there up to 7 in the evening but I still had to travel back to my hometown so I decided to leave the shop before 5 in the afternoon.
Have you gone to an internet cafe to post or interact here at myLot?
I also used to do that when I was at the B site, but I just read articles of my B'r friends.

Yes, I did enjoy the experience. Haha! No, not a coffee shop. I can't bring my laptop and work there.

@MGjhaud awwww the battery of my laptop cannot be charged anymore. Hahaha I am not sure if they allow customers to plug their devices at their premises. And one more thing is that, I am not that comfortable going to coffee shops.

wow! that is your advantage from us, hija, because you can just jump on a bus and go to Baguio City when you have no electricity. But isn't that expensive? how much do you spend when you go up, hija?

Ahahaha yes Ate, it's quite expensive. The fare is 4x the fare if I just go to the city.
But the rent at the city is P30 per hour, and if I rented for 8 hours, that will amount to P240. I just spent P100 In Baguio for 8 hours.
In effect, I had saved P30. Hihihi

@rakski yes, aside from the savings, I also earned something more, instead of just staying at home and waiting for the electricity to be restored.

@Yar_Joey I was in incognito mode when I browsed so that I no longer need to clear those cache and cookies before leaving. And yes, I logged out too.

Yes, the prices are now lower than before. I am going to Baguio once again if we don't have electricity and internet, but I also have to make sure that I have lots of online work to do.

well i hope you enjoyed baguio after your work was done. it would be a shame not to. no i never took the hassle of going to an internet shop just to log on to mylot, because whenever there was no connection, i took that as a sign from God for me to rest.

Yup, after working, I also strolled around the city and went to the mall and bought what my parents asked me to buy and then went home. It was all worth it.

That seems like a long day for you, but necessary I guess. I have never had to use an internet café before, although I see others doing that. Many people use the library also. I have a friend who goes to her local library a couple times a week, because she doesn't have an internet connection at home.
Let me recommend a web site to you. I don't know if you are a Bible reader or not. But, on this site you can watch FREE videos and read Bible-based articles about many Bible questions which puzzle many people. And you can do so, in the language of your choice. It's a very fascinating web site.
