Where is the cheese?

United States
March 19, 2016 12:35am CST
Last night - I was the last person to take a slice from one of the cheese packages, to be specific pepper jack. This morning for breakfast - my boyfriend and I had bagels with ham & though we had cheddar cheese, he preferred pepper jack. I looked all over the fridge and could not find the pepper jack cheese package. I thought I might have tossed it out, but I remember putting it back. Guess where I found the cheese? The freezer, hard as a rock! Haha. Have you ever done something like this? Misplace a fridge item to the freezer? I have done this quite a few times, with soda, milk, fruits, etc.

I put my car keys in the freezer once I've never heard of pepper jack cheese but I'm glad you like cheddar as that's English I doubt you've imported cheddar (a shame as it's the best) and expect your cheddar is american made The original cheddar actually came from a place very close to me here in England. It's a shame it can't get the same recognition as champagne where it can only be made in a certain place but cheddar cheese has no protected designation of origin Probably you'd see it as something stupid to be angry about but I'd really like to see British produce made here and exported rather than the method of production and the name being able to be used worldwide

I love all sorts of cheeses! I shop at Whole Foods and they have cheese from around the world but I don't often check the origin. They have all sorts of names, most I cannot pronounce the name either - I shall take pictures sometime when I go buy some and they let you sample some too. But as for my cheddar cheese I buy Tillamook

@Mike197602 I will jot that down and ask them. Origin is UK? I will ask them if they have any cheese from United Kingdom.

Oh you are not alone . My mother-in-law would always put the peanut butter on the fridge , when we keep telling her that it should just be on top of the fridge , where the coffee, creamer and sugar are . Though , i think you are too young to be that forgetful , my dear.

@SIMPLYD Haha - yes... I just scoop the peanut butter out like ice cream and put it on the bread then the toaster to spread easier.

If I am absent-minded, I most likely misplaced something.

I tend to misplace very often. Then I have to try to think where I last had the item and I'll be frustrated if I don't find them item.

I have many examples of silliness when it comes to hunger. Once I put my TV remote in fridge while taking out the Milk. And it took me 1 days to find it. I have forgot my mobile in a fridge air tight container. Lucky me I didn't kept it inside again. I have also forgot my mobile in the cookie jar See when it comes to my hunger, I can do anything

@T_gray Lol.. only small things. I am usually multi-tasking and talking to my bf so I forget. So I blamed him.. He did recall I had placed the cheese in the freezer and I told him, why didn't you tell me so!

It's not a freezer but inside the fridge. I misplaced a book I was reading. I was reading that time and while holding it, I opened the fridge to get a water. I mistakenly placed the book on one of the items inside the fridge while drinking water. And then closed it. When I was trying to look for my book, I started with the last thing I did, which was getting water inside the fridge.

He-he. I had done that too but with my phone. I was carrying my phone around for something , took out an item from the fridge and mistakenly forgot my phone. My boyfriend says I am clumsy at times.

I have cheese, wish i can give it to you but unfortunately the cheese is months old. maybe i should just give it away. that's why most of the time I thoroughly check the freezer

I chuckled when I read where you found the cheese. I've done this with items a few times myself. The strangest I can remember doing was putting a bag of potato chips in the deep freeze. My wife once put her pocketbook in the freezer.

I sometimes put something in the freezer that is supposed to be on the chiller compartment. It is hard as a rock now, my friend?

LOL that's hilarious, did the texture of the cheese change after being thawed? Once I put vegetables like cucumber in the freezer by mistake and they turned out nasty after thawing.

I like doing it for chocolates because I like to eat them when they stone hard.
