I had literally searched the Google Play Store to find if my Lot has a mobile version or not..Sadly, it does not. I was simply unable to answer the question 'why'?? which arose in my mind.. myLot would have great reach and along with that we users would be able to post from it anywhere anytime. This app would be specially beneficial as we all live in different time zones, hence being apply to communicate readily would be an added advantage according to me.. What do you think??

Why would you need one? I've tried the site on an android tablet, a windows based netbook and an ipad and also an apple laptop. All in the last 2 days and it worked on all of them nicely. People can already post to it anywhere anytime. Anyway, time zones are utterly irrelevant regarding devices you use to get on mylot. We all live in different time zones but all have similar devices and they work whatever time they are used

Oh no no no...by time zones I meant that if I have an app I will be instantly notified about the response or comment and I can respond at the same time too...Where as in the website, the notifications are sent to your email. Also, we need the mobile application because of the same logic which we apply to facebook, twitter, linked in etc..You do not need to log in every now and then, notifications become easy, apps are pre-customized to the device screen, hence resolution is not affected. If someone has a cell phone which has a small screen, then the website might be difficult to navigate, whereas, the application fits perfectly to the screen.

@Mike197602 Yes, but you have to be on the website window for that..They do not pop up while you are watching a movie or doing something else.. In an app, you can completely discard it..do something else, but it will still notify you.

im ok with the mobile view, looks a bit like im using an app for it. wanting/downloading an app for it is just another consumption of my storage.

Yes, the storage will be used but I do not think the app will be bulky..

I think for me its easy enough just to type mylot.com into my browser on my phone. They do have a nice mobile page that isnt cluttered. I Only Mylot on my smart phone these days so its convenient. What do you think the advantages of having an app vs. Visiting the mobile webpage are??

Well, I can list out a few.. 1) The compatibility of your phone browser or a third party browser is different with every Internet Service Provider and also by every geographical location. Where as the application is uniform. 2) For some browsers, it will load slowly, for some it will be fast and for some it will not load at all.. But for application that is not the case. 3) You do not need to log-in every time. It saves time. I prefer the one-tap action. 4) Instant notifications, hence instant response. Better connectivity among users. These were some of the few..

I don't need so many apps on my iPhone as you know we cannot use external memory or SD cards. A mobile-friendly site is good enough.

Yes, for iPhones you do need to keep an eye on space.

Oh yes... I would do much better then!! Only the website make us sit on chair to keep writing. Phone is always handy even when we are not home

It sounds as though you haven't tried using MyLot on your phone (using your browser). You will find it quite acceptable and usable, I think. There really isn't any benefit in having an app with a site like this.

The site being mobile friendly is enough I think. The app versions of many websites are annoying. I also dont want to get a notification pop up forcing me to install an app.
