Do People Add Fuel To The Fire?

When I was still working in my former company, my big boss was too controlling. He doesn’t gives freedom to think for ourselves. In addition, he’s not friendly and cannot relate with everyone well. Our big boss is not accommodating, too. Regardless, I don’t feel a bit pressured than usual about working with my boss. I resigned in this company because of my co-workers. Some of them make a big deal of minor issues that stresses me out. The boss cannot control over everything of my colleagues. I wanted to be on the same page as them. But I can’t, since they add fuel to the fire. Thus the working environment is not healthy for me. So I decided to move out from the company. Can you tolerate this kind of working environment?

The people around is an important factor in a work environment. If people around treats you fairly you'll probable perform better whereas when people around you always focus on the things that will bring you down, it will probably create an unproductive environment. Good thing yo decided to move out.

No one can, Brother. According to what you have said, there seems to be no environment over there. Job is a combination of People and Work where People are put first. Your independence as an employee should be maintained. Chill. It's perfect move by you. Good Luck for future.

i was once a part of a team where everybody makes it personal just about anything and everything. there were pros, there cons. i was in the middle, friends of everbody. i couldnt take sides because there was no point of doing so. it was just simple things, mostly non work related. i was only there to do what i was paid for to do.

@MGjhaud I also do same thinking. But it really consumed my energy being in the middle of the situation. So I decided to left the company, thinking that there are so many things I can do than staying in the company. I had weighed the situation, but then, leaving the company stood out during the process of choosing which is which.

You did the right thing for you Shavkat.
A boss is a boss and he cannot be different, so yes, why fight it like the coworkers? Making big deals out of all small things..get away from the silly idiots.

Productivity of a person is directly proportional to their working environment. It is better to leave than to regret this fact later. People are really gifted in making a mountain from a mole hill. Especially when in a competitive environment.??
Not only do they add fuel, but sometimes they are the very reason for the ignition of the fire.

Many workers have no choice but to stay in a job where co-workers are a pain to work with .. Like you, I won't be able to tolerate that kind of emotionally unhealthy environment ..Good for you that you got out..
