Contacts versus glasses!

Are there any glasses wearers that wear contacts occasionally? Or maybe seldomly? I put contacts in for the first time in months this morning because its so sunny out and I wanted to use my new sunglasses!
I forgot how different I look and feel with contacts in. For one, I keep trying to push up glasses that are not there! Which is really weird. The different vision also makes me feel a little weird at first - probably because the lens is touching your eye. I felt a little woozy and weird! But it takes getting used to.
Also I feel after wearing glasses all the time....I look strange and different without them! Does this happen to you?
I wish I could wear contacts full time but after 8 hours my eyes get really bothered.
Do you wear glasses and contacts? Do you experience the same "weirdness" as I do?

I've had glasses since I was around 11.
I've never tried contact lenses and never will as I can't stand the idea of sticking something on my eyeball
I don't have sunglasses either as I've got those lenses that change colour in sunlight.

I have transitions lenses too.
I just can't wear my glasses all the time or they stop working for me.

Yeah! Lucky for you. Thats good and I hope your vision stays good. I cant decide which is moee comfortable or convenient. Contacts make a lot of things easier - being in the sun, swimming, sports. But glasses are so low maintenance, you just throw them on! Ugh.

I wear glasses at home but prefer contacts whenever I head out.
I've been wearing glasses for a full year before I decided to get contacts again and I experienced the same thing! I felt woozy so I decided to wear them 2 hours a day and extend one hour as the day goes by. I sometimes try to push up my glasses and forget I'm not wearing one so I end up stabbing the air.

I have been wearing contact lenses for many years, so I have got used to without the glasses. I remember when I first changed to contacts, I found it quite weird as there were no glasses anymore. But, after some time, I just got used to it. I remember the reason I changed to contacts was because I was hit by a volleyball, on my face, and my glasses made my nose feel so painful. So I decided to take contacts since then. It's more comfortable for me to wear contacts.
I am not sure what brands of contacts you are using, I think they are different. The previous brand I was wearing made me eyes feel dried after about 8 hours, then I was advised to change to another brand, which is more hydrated and better for my eyes. Perhaps you can check them out and see which is more comfortable to you.

I used to wear both. I would wear my glasses mostly on weekends, so by Monday it would be a bit of a change. And then at some age...can't remember when exactly...I gave up my contacts permanently. I'm comfortable in my glasses. I don't need anything to read anymore, so sometimes, when the TV is off and I don't need the internet, I just walk around without even my glasses. But I do understand the strangeness you're experiencing! :)

I have worn glasses since I was a teenager, never thought I'd be able to stand contacts in my eyes.
