fasting works in the short term but the only thing that works long term is a healthy diet and exercise.

hi guys i am happy you people responded on this topic
there are two process as i was explaining fasting and starvation
what most people end up doing is starvation not fasting
fasting by itself is a wonderful science wherein the body tries to heal itself by using the food reserves
food reserves are used to only such an extent so that it helps in rehabilitating ones condition and not to make it worst.

@AYUSHNATROYOGA Starvation means avoiding food completely. Fasting means, can have food like fruits and vegetables. So it helps.

fasting for one or two day is good to relax your digestive system. It should not be more than that.Otherwise detoxification with fruits and vegetables also boost up the metabolism and get the body ready for weight loss. Later one should start with eating planned and multiple meals a day by cutting on to carbohydrate and fat.The process really helps to loose weight

fasting no matter how many days you do it its going to be good only when the stage of starvation set in the depletion of vital nutrients takes place which is destructive in nature that's the time we need to break the fast in a therapeutic way
