Easter Bonnet Parade ....

Yes ... I made... and wore an Easter Bonnet.... I do not like hats ... and only wear a baseball cap for protection from the sun... Ooohh and sometimes to cover up a bad hair day... lol's Anyway ... Back to the Easter Bonnets... we had an Easter Bonnet parade to raise money for a Dog charity that we work with.... my friend kept plaguing me to make a bonnet ... to wear .... and I kept saying no way... you wont get me wearing a hat... But I was secretly making not one ..., but two... The first one, I decided I would make a joke hat... For the first one... I downloaded a photo of a lovely decorative Easter Bonnet, off the internet, then printed it ..., and then stuck it onto one of my baseball caps... very badly..... to make it look like I had not taken any time or care with it.... and it worked... lol's The second hat ... I did much better, I started off with a straw hat.. then decorated it with plastic and silk flowers ... some chocolate Easter eggs and two brooches, one of a butterfly and the other a dragonfly.... it looked quite nice, even though I say so myself.... On the day ... I wore my baseball cap creation and maggs224 wore the proper one ... my friends thought my baseball cap was a funny clever idea and they all got the joke ... and were very impressed with the other hat too... we had a good laugh and raised some money all in a good cause.... click on the link below... for a short slide show of some of our hats.... https://youtu.be/6n-vK10sq28 the blurring of the faces is intentional to protect peoples identity ... which is another post....
