If you let you learn another language, what will you learn? Tell me the reasons, please.

Instead of learning a new language, I'd love to brush up on the languages I already know. I'm pretty terrible at French and Japanese now so I'd like to get back into learning them again.

Cantonese... my wife is from the Canton states. I'm learning Mandarin at Adelaide University (good lecturer, terrible class!). I've also done four years of Japanese full time. My native language is English, with a strong Aussie Accent.

@Alvinsir no, I'm not that good at languages... only learning them on a "needs" basis.

@veganblissThe most important of the language is practicality.

I recently registered for an online course of Mandarin Chinese, I haven't started yet but I am planning to do it soon. It's just beginners level and they say it's the most difficult language to learn but I will give it a try! I would also like to learn Spanish.

@Alvinsir It's one of the hardest languages to learn I believe. Hopefully I will improve gradually!

I am a polyglot and I love languages. But the next one on my list is Chinese because of how challenging it is and how useful it is. But you can also consider Spanish cuz it's useful too and you get to understand some wonderful songs cuz of it.

Spanish, Hmong and Somalu would all help me in my job since we have heavy populations of people speaking those languages here. But I would like to continue to learn Japanese - I took it in school for 4 years and forgot most of it. How sad. How about you?

I'd love to learn Korean and French. Korean because of some of the Korean dramas that I had watched before. I think their language is interesting, even how they write. I am fascinated with it. And French, because I just think it will be useful someday. Hihi

Spanish. I know Basic Spanish but I want to master it. It's easy to learn how to pronounce and write it. Also, it's in demand in the translation industry.
