A Flashing , Intermittent Headache

Have you experienced having a flashing headache, wherein it happens intermittently ?
You feel it now , then in a while it’s gone . In a little while it comes back , then gone again .
I felt that way last Sunday , after taking bath .
I was sweated profusely , after cleaning the bedroom so I wiped it and rested for about 30 minutes before finally taking a bath .
It was the first time that I have felt it . It is like a flash that creeps on the upper left side of my head , intermittently . I was afraid , that I might be having a stroke , since I have just been from the reunion , where we I ate much of the Bicol express and the lechon .
I texted my daughter about it . Then, she asked me questions and it was ruled out I am having as stroke .
Then , hubby told me to rub White Flower embrocation in my temples . So I did and laid down to rest .
The flashing headache was gone , it didn’t come back anymore . We slept unworried .
But i think , this was a sign that i was having a borderline BP that i have just previous discussed here .

You had vertigo too some time ago. All this surely leads to your needing a thorough check up.

I think my dear friend you need to monitor your blood pressure. This is a sign of hypertension. If you feel tingling sensation on the left side of your body, it is a sign of heat stroke. But the symptoms varies, if it is localized in one area, perhaps it is a migraine caused by myofascial pain syndrome.

But because it was gone after a few minutes of rubbing the white flower embrocation and i haven't have the symptoms , it was ruled out .
Though , it could be also , because the next day , it was discovered that my BP's diastolic is at borderline , when it's usually at normal level .

I hope you're ok now and that kind of headache won't turn up again. I do suffer from headaches but not the type that you described. Mine always starts on the right temple and if the pain really gets bad, I start to feel nauseaous. The pain usually lasts for 3-4 days and sometimes even taking paracetamol doesn't help.

I have observed that every time my monthly period is due, I get that headache. It got worse after I gave birth to my 3rd child through CS. I think it has something to do with the anesthesia given to me.

@jcj_111776 Is that so ? Then , it could really be that . Just let it pass and don't take medications . Maybe you should try the White Flower embrocation . You can just rub your temples with it , and in a jiffy , your headache will be gone.

I think yours is a migraine . Imagine having the pain for 3-4 days and feeling nauseaous . So what was the diagnosis when you felt that for 3 days ?

My friend, this sounds not good.
I wish you could get checked out by a good doctor to find what might be wrong.
Your daughter is right..strokes can be like this and also here they have ways of detecting early symptoms.
I wish you blessings..worry about you friend.

Oh so you experienced it too . Thankfully , i don't have a migraine .
Though , the first thought that came into my mind as to its cause is the heat . I just came from the beach which was hot then at home the heat outside seem to affect me too while cleaning .

After it was gone when i applied the White flower embrocation , on my temples and sniffed it while resting , i felt happy because i know it's only a minor headache maybe caused by the too much heat from the weather and from cleaning the bedroom thoroughly .

That sounds scary! I've never had anything like that. When I get headaches, they are usually pretty severe, to the point that I need to get into bed and sleep. when my husband was alive, he would help me through them in a big way. Now I usually crawl into bed and talk to him and fall asleep remembering the things he used to do for me. I hope your flashing headache never comes back!

I think what you had are migraines . Luckily , i haven't experienced severe headaches , that's why when i experienced this flashing one , it got me scared .
But i am happy it was gone after i rubbed white flower embrocation on my temples . I conclude , it's a simple case of headache caused by too much heat .

don't tire yourself, my lady, so you will not have head ache. I remember the head ache I felt that midnight of March 2. It was too painful that I cannot even forget it until now.

@ridingbet Yes, i do that . However , i don't rest at intervals . That's the problem with me because i want it done at once so no resting .
Thank you for advising that . Now i know .

@SIMPLYD Rest at intervals, my lady. for sure you know that when your shirt is wet with perspiration, either you put on a towel or change that shirt to a dry one.

Yes, my friend . Once more my white flower proved its efficacy .
And by eliminating my flashing headache , it made me conclude it was just because of the too much heat i felt .

Since it was gone after rubbing my temples with white flower , i know it was from the heat and being dehydrated while cleaning our bedroom. So, after it was gone , i wasn't worried anymore .
Though next week , i will be having my scheduled quarterly laboratory exams as monitoring of my health by our company's accredited doctor .

It was gone after rubbing my temple with my white flower embrocation . Besides , i don't have the signs of having it , except for that .
It was caused by cleaning the bedroom thoroughly despite the heat .

I thought it was at first . But then when it was gone after i have rubbed my temples with my white flower , i know it's not that cause , but the too much heat .

You definitely need to discuss this with your doctor and get a check-up. It could be the beginning of a more serious problem.

Yes , i will . I am actually going to have my scheduled quarterly laboratory next week . My doctor wants me to have normal readings always , that's why .
But i feel so well now . Back to normal BP and no headaches at all . It could really be just the heat and my cleaning the bedroom which made me sweat profusely .
