As the usual weekdays, I used to say good bye to my 4 year-old niece before going to school. She had always the smile of saying goodbye to each family member. Then, when said goodbye to her grandpa. I had the creepy moment. The reason, her grandpa died for more than 2 years now. I am not sure if she could see him or not. Perhaps she just remembered my father who used to cheer her up everyday. At the back of my mind, I should feel glad that she still remembers her grandpa. I also missed my father in random situations. Today, I reminisce the past memories of my dear father.

I am sorry for the loss of your Father.
Yes your niece may have been able to see him.
Children sometimes can see when we cannot and they say animals can too.

young children have innocent eyes. she might be seeing the image of your deceased father that is why she greets him good-bye. Pray for the eternal repose of your father's soul, and you can also tell your niece that his Lolo is already gone for good.

@ridingbet My little niece knows that my father is in heaven. I assume that she had seen the photo of her grandpa on the cabinet.

@Shavkat still, there is a saying that the deceased make themselves be seen by the young children even if these kids know they are already gone.

She must have probably seen him? Scary. But it could just be her memory. She's too young and sometimes children blurt out something out of the blue.

@skysnap You had a point there my friend. There is always a soft spot in my heart that I felt the lost so sudden. But the family needs to cope up and move on to our lives. My father will always be remembered and forever carved in our hearts.

@Letranknight2015 It wasn't always my friend. It happens randomly. I had also experienced his presence on the day he was buried. But I brushed it off, so that the family will not going to worry.

it's good to know that your niece still remember your father, maybe she's that close to him when he was still alive, it is hard for a child to forget such a loving person sometimes who've been close to them
